To post an event you must first sign in by clicking "Sign In" in the top left hand corner of the screen. Once you have signed in, the "Add Event" icon will be visible on the right side of your screen. Click on "Add Event" and fill in the relevant fields. Once you have entered your information, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Add Event."

Signature Lecture - Torturing Democracy: The Declassified U.S. Response to 9/11, and Its Resonance for Canada in Afghanistan

A panel discussion on the preservation of human rights during war and on Canada's position on these issues as it relates to the Afghanistan conflict. Segments from the film "Torturing Democracy" will be shown, an award-winning documentary about how and why the U.S. response to 9/11 came to include the wholesale embrace of torture, in spite of its illegality, inhumanity and essential uselessness as an information-acquiring strategy.

Complexity in Project Management and Evaluation

This is a workshop intended to give participants the opportunity to explore their current practice with others, and to be exposed to ideas derived from the complexity sciences. We will consider a range of methods, and in particular the importance of reflection and reflexivity in research. This is an experiential, participative workshop rather than skills training as such.
