Anja is a specialist for intercultural and development communication, international standardization, terminology and language policies. She currently works freelance as communications manager, training coordinator and project manager. She holds a PhD degree from the University of Vienna (on communication for social change and South Africa's linguistic diversity) and is a graduate (M.A.) from the University of Leipzig, Germany, where she studied Applied Linguistics, African Studies and German as a Foreign Language. Parts of her studies she conducted in South Africa.
Anja holds several additional skills certificates and has an extensive working experience in editing, public relations, conference/workshop organization. She is also a lead auditor for the Language Industry Certification System and the European Standard EN 15038 (Translation Services - Service Requirements).
